Les fruits de type pâte sont longues (jusqu'à cinq pouces), rouge, charnu avec quelques graines, et ont souvent une saillie prononcée sur l'extrémité apicale. Elle a détaillé son histoire comme étant apporté à la région de Cleveland, Ohio dans les années 1960 de la Province de Campobasso de l'Italie par Donaldo Morganti. Il a donné des semences à un partenaire d'affaires du nom de Libby, qui à son tour a donné les graines à Carl Skalak qui était celui qui a nommé la variété de Libby Pride '. M.
